2018 Youth Camp

General Information

The Youth Camp is a commuter camp for players ages 5-13 who want to learn the sport and improve basic skills. Campers will be placed in groups based on age and experience and will build a basic foundation of field hockey knowledge and skills. All youth campers will work to learn and improve upon stick skills, vision and field awareness and basic offensive and defensive skills. The Peak Field Hockey Youth coaching staff are former collegiate field hockey players who have experience coaching a variety of sports at the youth level. They are skilled at keeping the pace age-appropriate and emphasizing FUN.
*Special goalkeeping instruction is available

• High-level coaching from top regional and national collegiate and HS coaches, as well as DI, II and III collegiate players.

8:45 am Arrive at field
9:00-11:00 am On-Field Training Session 1
11:00-11:30 am Fun Games/Activities with Youth Coaches
11:45 am Lunch
12:30-2:00 pm Daily Activity (will vary- could include swimming, movie, playing games)
2:30-3:45 pm On-Field Training Session 2
4:00 pm Camper Pick Up

YOUTH CAMP REGISTRATION

Time: 8:45 Monday July 23
Location: Chase AstroTurf Field

CHECK-OUT
The final camp session will end at 4:00 pm at the Chase AstroTurf Field. Parents are invited to attend this final session and all sessions. Check-out follows the last session. Youth campers may leave directly from the field following the final session.

Checklist of things to bring to camp everyday:

Below is a suggested list of items you will need daily for camp. Peak FH Camp is not responsible for lost or stolen articles/money. Do not bring valuable items such a jewelry/electronics to camp. We recommend that you label articles of clothing and equipment.

Turf Shoes/Sneakers for turf – NO CLEATS PERMITTED

Optional Items:

Rain Jacket

Towel

Bathing Suit

Change of Clothes

HEALTH AND SAFETY:

A certified athletic trainer will be on site for all sessions.

Please complete the Health Form. You will not be able to participate unless this form is on file.

Lunch and snacks/drinks will be provided each day of camp. If your camper has food allergies or restrictions please contact Assistant Director Emily Rinde-Thorsen at 603-443-2010 at least 1 month prior to the start of camp.
